Fiction writer and memoirist Tim Parrish to read at Quinnipiac Oct. 14
Sept. 4, 2014 - Fiction writer and memoirist Tim Parrish will read from his work at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 14, in the Carl Hansen Student Center, Room 120, on the Mount Carmel Campus.
Parrish is the author of the memoir "Fear and What Follows: The Violent Education of a Christian Racist," the novel "The Jumper" (winner of Texas Review Press's 2013 George Garrett Prize for Fiction), and the story collection "Red Stick Men," set in his hometown of Baton Rouge. His memoir has been chosen as the 2014 First-Year Read at Southern Connecticut State University, where he is a professor in the creative writing program.
Free and open to the public, this event is part of the Quinnipiac's creative writing program's "Yawp!" series, an open dialogue on creativity and the arts.
