Founding faculty members appointed

Aug. 28, 2012 - The School of Business and Engineering has appointed two members of the founding faculty of the new undergraduate engineering program.

John Reap is an assistant professor of mechanical engineering in the new program, which will offer its first classes this fall. Reap comes to Quinnipiac from Virginia Tech, where he was an instructor of engineering. He holds a doctorate and a master's degree in mechanical engineering from Georgia Tech. He also holds a bachelor degree in mechanical engineering from Lafayette College. He is a member of the American Society for Engineering Education and ASME, which was founded as the American Society of Mechanical Engineers.

Justin Kile is an associate professor of industrial engineering. He comes to Quinnipiac from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville, where he was coordinator of the industrial engineering program. Kile holds a doctorate and a master's degree in industrial and operational engineering from the University of Michigan. He also holds a bachelor's degree in industrial and manufacturing engineering from the Rochester Institute of Technology. He is a member of the Institute of Industrial Engineers and the American Society for Engineering Education.
