Galiette appointed senior director of development, health affairs

Oct. 21, 2013 - Richard Galiette has been appointed senior director of development, health affairs.

Galiette is responsible for developing and leading comprehensive advancement programs for the School of Health Sciences and School of Nursing. He also designs and manages major gift programs in support of the Institute for Primary Care in the Frank H. Netter MD School of Medicine and the Center for Interprofessional Healthcare Education, which offers opportunities for students in the Schools of Health Sciences, Medicine and Nursing to learn and practice together, identify effective and efficient delivery options, and understand and enhance each other's clinical skills.

"Bolstered by Connecticut's newest medical school and strong multi-disciplinary programs in the health sciences and nursing, the University is uniquely positioned to be a leader in the field of primary care and inter-professional health care education."

Galiette is a member of Global Advancement Professionals and the Council for Advancement and Support of Education.

Before coming to Quinnipiac, Galiette worked at the Yale University School of Medicine as the director of development of clinical affairs. He earned a bachelor's degree from Saint Anselm College. He is married to Kim Galiette, and has two children, Trevor, 12, and Matthew, 9.
