Dec. 9, 2013 - Three occupational therapy students and two professors attended the International Day of Disabilities at the United Nations Dec. 3.

The theme of this year's event was, "Break Barriers, Open Doors: for an inclusive society and development for all."

The visit included a special theatrical performance by Breaking through Barriers, an off Broadway theatre group dedicated to advancing actors and writers with disabilities and changing the image of individuals with disabilities from dependence to independence. The students and faculty also attended a panel discussion on Mental Well-being, Disability, and Development.
