QUWAC and RWI Announce WAC Writing Contest Winners
May 31, 2013 - Each year, the QUWAC Writing Contest recognizes and rewards exemplary student writing in the disciplines.
Winners received a $150 prize and the honor of having their work published on the Writing Across the Curriculum website.
Danielle Renda won first prize, Exemplary Writing in Communications, for her piece, "American Youth's Establishment of Romantic Relationships via Text Messaging."
Kaitlyn Krivitzky won first prize, Exemplary Writing in Social Science, for her piece, "Comparing the Controversy to the Data: Does Gender Symmetry Exist in Intimate Partner Violence?"
Maureen Gard won first prize, Exemplary Writing in Arts and Humanities, for her piece, "They Are Heroes."
Three honorable mention awards were also given out.
