June 13, 2013 - School of Communications graduates from Class of 2012 are already making their mark in the field of communications and beyond.
The school recently compiled the results of its annual survey of graduates, taken six months after graduation. There were 238 graduates in 2012 and 160 responded to the survey, revealing an impressive 91 percent placement rate.
- 78% are working in a job in communications
- 13% have gone on to graduate school
"These placement numbers are evidence that our faculty and curriculum are preparing students for a solid start in their careers, and that our program is in line with employers' expectations," said Lee Kamlet, dean of the School of Communications.
"This is the most exciting time for opportunities in communications since the invention of the printing press, and these numbers prove it," Kamlet added.
