July 20, 2012 - The School of Education hosted an opening April 3 for its "Kaleidoscope of Creativity" art exhibit. Students from local school districts donated artwork to hang on the walls of the School of Education facility on the North Haven Campus. The exhibit includes 33 pieces of student artwork created by students in grades kindergarten to 12 from North Haven Public Schools, Hamden Public Schools, and the Side By Side Charter School in Norwalk. The artwork will be on display for one year. "Quinnipiac University has long valued the arts as an integral part of a liberal arts education," said Mark Thompson, senior vice president for academic and student affairs, who spoke at the reception.

"This exhibition not only reinforces that value and mission, but also offers a powerful and tangible experience for students who pass through this space on their way to becoming outstanding classroom teachers. This exhibition also serves as symbol of the important relationship we have developed with our local communities, including the school districts of North Haven and Hamden, as well as the Side By Side Charter School in Norwalk."
