School of Law to host orientation Aug. 16-17

July 25, 2013 - The School of Law will welcome incoming first-year law students and their families during Orientation on Friday, Aug. 16, and Saturday, Aug. 17, on the Mount Carmel Campus.

On Friday, events include a welcome breakfast with peer mentors; presentations by administrators and faculty; a panel on succeeding financially as a student and a question-and-answer session with School of Law alumni. The day concludes with a welcome from the dean followed by a reception.

On Saturday, events include sessions on School of Law policies, strategies for academic success and the professional oath led by the Honorable Maureen Murphy '86 of the Superior Court of Connecticut. A session for friends and families of first-year law students will also be held. Orientation concludes with a picnic for students and their families.
