Students receive physician assistant certificates
Aug. 12, 2012 - Thirty-three physician assistant students received certificates signifying they've completed the graduate program during a ceremony held Aug. 11 at the TD Bank Sports Center on the University's York Hill Campus.

Robert Wooten, immediate past president and chairman of the board of the American Academy of Physician Assistants, addressed the students. Wooten has been a member of AAPA for more than 22 years and has held numerous leadership positions within the academy. Prior to serving as the AAPA president, he was AAPA secretary from 2003-2006, a previous constituent relations committee chair and one of the original founders of the AAPA's Promoting Planning for Association Progress program, through which AAPA strengthens constituent organizations through organizational development activities.
