| GLENSALOUGH, CO. GALWAY.-It is doubtful whether in the matter of natural features the Glendalough of the county Wicklow excels its Connemara namesake, a view of which is presented above. Of course the Glendalough of St. Kevin has the advantage of romantic tradition, and the ruins of its seven churches attest its monastic magnificence in the early times. |
