ST. PATRICK'S BRIDGE., CORK.- The imposing structure, of which the sketch given above is a faithful picture, is the finest and most modern of nine bridges that span the historic river Lee in the beautiful city of Cork, which, like Chicago, seems to have been originally built on a swamp, as its Gaelic name, "Corach"-a marsh-by which the Irish-speaking people still call it-attests. St. Patrick's street is the finest business thoroughfare of Ireland's southern metropolis, which is one of the most picturesque of the Irish cities, and is particularly noted for the beauty of its women.
