| VIEW OF DALKEY, CO. DUBLIN.- The preceding sketch gives a good general view of the very pleasant metropolitan suburb of Dalkey, which has the advantage of ocean and mountain views, rarely found in the immediate neighborhood of great cities. Fortunately for the town, the municipal authorities never granted the right of way to the railroads to run right along the beach, and, in this way, Dalkey has escaped the disagreeableness visited by the iron horse on other small and previously prosperous communities, which depended, in a great measure, on sea-bathing patronage. |
