| QUEEN'S COLLEGE, GALWAY.- This fine structure, built in the Tudor-Gothic style, after the design of architect J. B. Keane, was completed in 1849, and is one of the three so-called Queen's Colleges constructed at theat period by authority of the British parliament. It stands on the western bank of the river Corrib, and from the tower of the noblest landscapes in all Ireland may be seen. |
