Military Times has ranked Quinnipiac University No. 1 in Connecticut, No. 3 in the Northeast and No. 12 nationally for private, non-profit universities in its 2021 “Best for Vets: Colleges” rankings.

“Our student veterans and military dependents continue their diligence with our degree programs and high retention rates,” said Jason Burke, Quinnipiac’s director of veteran and military affairs. “I am extremely proud of how hard our cadre have stayed focused during the pandemic.

Both the Quinnipiac faculty and staff, along with the Department of Veteran Affairs, had a Herculean task this past year with COVID, yet the team worked together to support our students, providing on-campus and flex curricula to ensure they remained engaged. Our ‘Best for Vets’ ranking from Military Times reflects the total team effort over this past year.”

Military Times surveyed hundreds of colleges and universities across the country and used their answers, combined with federal data, to rank schools.

For 10 years, Military Times’ “Best for Vets: Colleges” has been a top resource for veterans to help with their education decisions. This year’s rankings now include an individual web page for each school, one that provides detailed information about their programs to help veterans make important decisions about their career planning and how to use the education benefits they earned through military service.
