Our Philosophy
Quinnipiac seeks to assist each of its students and their families to receive the maximum federal, state and institutional financial aid for which they are eligible. Institutional financial aid is available to full-time undergraduate students who demonstrate eligibility according to Quinnipiac's application procedures and funding policies. A student's financial aid "package" may include grants, scholarships, loans and work-study. It is our goal to coordinate aid eligibility so that a Quinnipiac education is within the means of each student and their family.
Our financial aid policy is built on the principle of supplementing student and family contributions towards the cost of attending college. This principle is rooted in the belief that the primary responsibility for meeting college costs rests with the student and their family. Quinnipiac encourages its students to explore all sources of external financial assistance. Check with your high school, community and other affiliations for financial aid opportunities.
How to Apply
Students who are interested in applying for financial aid must complete a FAFSA. This form can be obtained from your high school guidance office, from the Office of Financial Aid at Quinnipiac, or can be completed electronically at http://www.fafsa.ed.gov/
Deadlines for filing are as follows:
New students: March 1
Returning students: April 1
It is important that the central processor receives your FAFSA before the deadline to assure receiving all of the financial aid to which you are entitled. Quinnipiac welcomes late financial aid applicants, but due to funding constraints, we are unable to accommodate full funding after the above deadlines.
Students who wish to receive an award letter prior to the May 1 enrollment deposit date, must file all applications and forms prior to March 1. Returning students must file prior to April 1 and meet Quinnipiac's standards for satisfactory academic progress in order to maintain financial aid eligibility. This policy is published in the Student Handbook and is also available in the Office of Financial Aid.
