Our most recent Career Fair was held on Nov. 4, 2009, in the Recreation Center. More than 200 organizations attended. In recent years, more than 1,000 students have taken advantage of this opportunity by attending the fair.

Many students can attest to the benefits of participating in the Career Fair, resulting in full-time employment opportunities, summer internships, work-study positions and summer jobs.

We encourage all students to attend the Career Fair, as the event offers opportunities for students in every class year:

• Freshmen and sophomores can explore careers and seek summer and part-time experiences.
• Juniors can look for internships and establish contact with employer representatives.
• Seniors can investigate professional employment opportunities.
• Graduate students can explore professional opportunities to grow or shift their careers.

Before the fair, we offer workshops on such topics as “How to Work a Career Fair.” These sessions help students prepare for the fair, focusing on everything from creating a resume to what to wear.

Organizations attending the Career Fair span industries including business, communications, consulting, education, financial services, health care, marketing, nonprofits, retail, sales and many more.
