Staff members at Holiday Dinner
You’ll feast before finals

Before the week of finals begins, Quinnipiac students get the royal treatment—a holiday meal served by their very own professors. The Annual Undergraduate Holiday Dinner is a tasteful tradition that has professors working for students. “The teachers actually put time into it, that’s kind of cool,” said business major Justin Algarin. “It’s nice to see them in a relaxed environment.”

The professors like the environment too. “It’s great to see the students outside the classroom,” said Chad Nehrt, an international business professor. “Particularly with the freshmen, they see me as sort of a talking face. This is an opportunity to see me in a different light.”

The annual holiday dinner is a way for faculty to show how much they appreciate their students. “One of the things about working here is we really like the students,” said Jill Martin, chair of the holiday dinner committee and chair of legal studies. “We want to do something for them because the end of the semester is always stressful.”

Students love it. “This is a beautiful thing during ‘hell week,’” said Sara Capellini, a broadcast journalism major. “I’m used to Pop Tarts and Easy Mac.” The food is delicious. “This is the best meal,” said Krissy Kosowicz, a business major. “Whoever’s missing out is missing out big.”
