I found that Quinnipiac offered me a very good financial aid package each year, based on my FAFSA. I have a combination of grants, scholarships and a small amount of loans. I was also awarded work-study—a job that pays directly into your pocket!
I find that most Quinnipiac events are free or cheap—usually $5 or $10. It’s really cool that I can stay on campus for a while and not have many expenses, knowing that most of the programs and services are going to be free.

Paying for Quinnipiac was a real question for me as well coming in. However, Quinnipiac gave me work-study money and a scholarship. I also was able to apply to many different scholarships at home. All I had to do was ask my guidance counselor and he handed me at least 40! So many scholarships are awarded each year and many aren’t even applied for!! So take advantage! I’ve also taken out student loans each year. There are so many options available; all it takes is to ask around and fill out scholarships. Ashley Thomson '07 |
Price was a concern of mine when I started looking into schools.... If you’re nervous about cost, search the Web! There are different databases that list different scholarships based on all kinds of criteria. Apply for anything and everything! You never know what you’re going to get.... There are definitely ways to finance an education; you just have to be willing to look and to apply to lots of them. Caroline Apgar '07 |
