Entrepreneurship students raise $12,500 for charity

Ortiz-Walters

Students in assistant professor Rowena Ortiz-Walters’ entrepreneurship course learn as much about giving as they do about business. She says, "Entrepreneurs will tell you all the money and material success in the world mean nothing without a sense of community service.” For a course project, her students raised $12,500 for charities, including these Hamden organizations:

  • Autism Spectrum Resource Center
  • The Children’s Center of Hamden
  • Partnerships Center for Adult Day Care
