Don't fret when you run out of groceries, just jump on a Quinnipiac shuttle that brings students back and forth to the greater Hamden area. There are a bunch of great stores in Hamden where Quinnipiac students can get everything they need, from groceries and school supplies to clothing and furniture.
Looking for places to do community service or get involved with local politics and schools? The town of Hamden offers great opportunities to Quinnipiac students due to the good relationship our campus has with Hamden residents.

There's a lot to do in Hamden. My friends and I like to go to T.G.I. Friday's or Chili's on weekend nights. And you can buy pretty much anything you can imagine in Hamden. I go on DVD runs at F.Y.E. pretty often! Brian Jacobson '11 |
There is a lot more to do in the Hamden area than you think! When I first got here I saw that there was shopping and a few restaurants and was excited for that. The shuttle is great and takes you right to the heart of town. There is a movie theater, a Barnes and Noble, a Starbucks, so many restaurants and shopping stores like Gap, Old Navy, Marshalls, and so many others! I promise-there is plenty to do! Hamden has a variety of restaurants to choose from if you're in the mood to eat out. From bagels to hibachi to burgers, there are plenty of choices! There's also bowling, retail shopping and Ashley's Homemade Ice Cream to enjoy. Lindsay Kazin '11 |
