When I was a new student coming to Quinnipiac, it didn’t seem like there was much around, I have to admit... However, when I traveled into the center of Hamden I realized there are tons of things to do!! I love going shopping at Pier 1, TJ Maxx, Old Navy and Gap. There’s a Blockbuster right down the road so whenever my friends and I just want to stay in, we’re able to grab a movie and hang out. We also love going to all the local pubs and places to eat like Side Street, Applebee’s, Fridays and so much more!
Finding something to do in Hamden is never a problem!

 | Right across the street from our campus is Sleeping Giant State Park, a large public mountain that offers hiking, cross-country skiing and cross-country running trails. My friends and I love to hike to the top of the Giant where there’s an observatory offering amazing views of New Haven and Long Island Sound.
