Students at Quinnipiac are very easy to approach. I would say the majority of the campus is involved in some type of club or activity, which means getting involved is one of the easiest ways to meet new people. I think the medium size of the University helps allow this. Walking anywhere on campus, I always find that I pass at least three people that I know, but there are still lots of people I’ve never talked to. I also find that I usually have class with at least one person I know or have met in a previous class. But I don’t feel like I’m in the situation that I am always taking classes with the same people. It’s easy to start talking to people in your classes, which can easily lead to new friends, or at least a study partner.... Our size allows us to create this kind of community, which is something that I really enjoy about the students here.

The students here are really friendly and open minded for the most part. During your freshman year everyone is looking for a friend, and in the first week you’ll meet a lot of different people. Friendship is definitely not an issue at this school.

They’re friendly. There are a lot of people from different backgrounds. Some schools just have rich kids. Quinnipiac has a mix of economic backgrounds. You never know who you can meet. They’re all normal, cool kids. When you come as a freshman, no one really has friends. Everyone is looking for new friends, so it’s much easier to find friends.

Everyone is very open. At first everyone is trying to make a good impression, but after a while they start to be more themselves. They’re not afraid to express opinions, but still everyone is very respectful and very friendly.
