Information for Students
In case of severe weather, students should report as follows:
- College of Arts and Sciences and School of Business reporting areas TBA.
- School of Communications and School of Health Sciences reporting areas TBA.
The decision to move Commencement exercises indoors will be made as early as possible. Call 203-582-8989 after 8 a.m. if you are in doubt as to the location of the ceremony.
In the event of severe weather, each graduate will be allowed five tickets for family and guests. Graduating students will not be required to have a ticket. Tickets must be picked up in advance at the Commencement Fair on Monday, April 19, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Tuesday, April 20, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in Alumni Hall. In order to pick up severe weather tickets, students will need to bring a photo ID and sign for the tickets. No tickets will be mailed, and no one will be able pick up tickets for another student.
Information for Parents
In the event of severe weather, two separate ceremonies will be held in the TD Bank Sports Center on the York Hill Campus:
11 a.m. - College of Arts and Sciences and School of Business
2 p.m. - School of Communications and School of Health Sciences
Please note that your graduating student will have five tickets for you -- for the indoor ceremony only -- which must be presented for admission to the basketball arena. We regret that we will not be able to accommodate additional guests. Please note that the ceremony will be broadcast into the hockey arena via closed-circuit television. The decision to move indoors will be made as early as is practical. If you have any doubt as to the location of the ceremony, please call 203-582-8989 after 8 a.m. on the day of the event.
