The Professional Athlete Transition Institute (PATI) is dedicated to the development of niche services designed to meet the career development, career transition, education and research needs of elite athletes and the organizations that serve them.

Our programs are available to active elite athletes interested in preparing for life after competitive athletics or retired professional athletes looking to improve their post-athletic career effectiveness.

Currently, PATI is the sole provider of career development services to the National Hockey League (NHL), the National Hockey League Players' Association (NHLPA) and the National Hockey League Alumni Association (NHLA).

Over 225 NHLPA and NHLA members have participated in the Life After Hockey program. PATI's programming is predicated on our ongoing research into elite athletes and our experience in working with major professional athletes.
