The Learning Center offers seminars dealing with a variety of specific learning skills through the year. Each seminar discusses learning skills and styles as they are applied to an individual's specific needs.

Some of the topics covered are:

• Final exam preparation
• How to study math and science
• Memory strategies
• Note-taking
• Reading college texts
• Research paper assistance
• Test-taking strategies
• Time management

Anyone enrolled in classes, including law, graduate and part-time students, can attend a study skills seminar. No reservation is needed. You merely have to show up at the correct room, at the correct time. A schedule of these seminars is available at the Learning Center.

The instructor will provide any materials needed for the seminar. If you can't attend a seminar, you can sign up with a tutor who specializes in study skills.

We also offer handouts to students, which are available at the front office of the Learning Center. These handouts cover a variety of subjects including writing skills and time management.
