Quinnipiac offers cultural and educational events open to the public, from Jasmine Guy performing in the Harlem Renaissance play “Raisin’ Cane,” to a lecture by Henry Kissinger. Quinnipiac’s events calendar is filled with concerts, dance performances, theater, film screenings and discussions by experts. Offering free events to the local community is part of Quinnipiac’s history and future.

This is one of many examples of Quinnipiac's community outreach in Hamden. The University is constantly engaged in projects to benefit Hamden residents and organizations. Faculty, staff and students raise money for charity, spend time with seniors, visit schools to read to children, coach youth sports teams, invite children to campus for social and education events and provide free legal service through our law clinics. These are only some of the ways we teach our students about the responsibility of citizenship and how we encourage them to embrace volunteerism.
