Three School of Business students presented research papers at the Academy of International Business - Northeast Chapter meeting at the New York Institute of Technology Oct. 1-4.

Anthony DeTurris '10 and Matthew Weiss '10, both international business majors, presented their study, "Consumer Perception of Corporate Social Responsibility: A Cross Cultural Comparison of the United States and Germany."

Kailey Maher '10, a political science major, presented the paper, "Business Students' Perception of Corporate Social Responsibilities: A Cross Cultural Comparison of France and Germany." Ehren Schneller '10 and Nick Alvanos '09 co-authored the paper with Maher.

The students, all part of the University's European Union studies program, conducted their research and wrote the papers under the supervision of Mohammad Elahee, professor of international business in the School of Business.

The students traveled to Europe last summer to research consumer perception of corporate social responsibility.

"Conducting this research was a great experience and the ability to have a published paper as an undergraduate is a phenomenal," DeTurris said.

The Academy of International Business (AIB) is the leading association of scholars and specialists in the field of international business.
