Why Organizational Leadership?
Leadership is one of the most sought-after abilities in today's workforce. Numerous surveys reinforce the importance of effective communication, performance management, metrics-based management, organizational change, ethics and strategic thinking to success in virtually any field.

Our programs are informed by national research and input and feedback from human resource professionals in a wide range of organizations. Whatever your industry or work, developing your leadership abilities will make you more effective and more valuable to your organization.

The College of Professional Studies offers two degree programs specifically designed for working adults:

The bachelor of science in organizational leadership is ideal for adults with 60 college credits who want to complete their bachelor's degree and to advance their careers through leadership development.

The master of science in organizational leadership is designed for adults who have undergraduate degrees, at least four years of work experience and want to prepare themselves for higher leadership roles. Our professional focus areas build on the leadership foundation courses and provide expertise for those seeking to enhance their leadership skills in higher education, human resources, information technology or insurance.

All programs offer:

  • Flexible scheduling
  • Seven-week academic terms
  • Two course-delivery options:
    - Online courses only
    - "Blended" courses, which combine online learning with three half-Saturday on-campus meetings per term
  • Career-oriented degree program for professionals
  • Academic and personal support services
  • Active learning techniques with real world examples
  • Faculty with extensive industry experience
