Policies Regarding Third-Party Recruiters

Quinnipiac follows the guidelines for working with third-party recruiters as set by the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE). The NACE guidelines are part of Principles for Professional Conduct for Career Services and Employment Professionals, which can be viewed at http://www.naceweb.org/principles/principl.html#principles_for_third_party_recruiters.

We work with third-party recruiters that meet the following conditions:

  • The agency charges no fee to students.
  • The agency discloses the identity of the employer being represented to career services staff only. Career services will be permitted to contact the employer for verification only. Career services will keep this information confidential and will not attempt to solicit any business away from third-party recruiters by contacting the employers directly.
  • The agency must comply with established affirmative action/Equal Employment Opportunity regulations regarding employment practices.
  • The agency may recruit only for the employers it represents. Candidates’ names and/or resumes may not be used for future openings or employer solicitation
