The Honors Leadership Board (HLB) plays an important role within the University Honors Program. These dedicated students make vital decisions about the program and play a major role in scheduling honors program events. They make long-lasting friendships with people who share their interest in the honors program -- and in making the most out of their Quinnipiac education.
Meet the current members:
Erin M. Baier '11 is a
psychology major from Newtown, Conn. She is enrolled in Quinnipiac's five-year master's program in teaching for elementary education. She enjoys being a part of the University Honors Program very much, and especially enjoys the people in the program. Erin works as a research assistant in the psychology department and is a member of Psi Chi National Honors Society. She enjoys traveling, snowboarding, violin, reading, art and being outdoors.
Brendan Cline '10 is an independent major, focusing on philosophy with minors in psychology and
English. A native of Westfield, N.J., Brendan is currently working on designing his major and co-founding a club called, SOPHIA, a forum that will allow for recreational philosophical discussion. He also spent a year and a half working at the University's
Polling Institute.
Meghan Crehan '12, of Scituate, Mass., is an English major and a student in the
MAT program for elementary education. She chairs the Student Programming Board's travel committee and participates in the Tiered Leadership Program.
Lindsay Dillon '10 is a
political science major from Hamilton, N.J. She is currently a member of Community Action Project and Roots and Shoots--a community service group that promotes care and concern for animals, the environment and the human community. After graduation, Lindsay plans on attending law school or continuing her studies in political science. She's interested in pursuing a career in government or at a non-profit organization.
Julianne Gardner '12, of Philadelphia, Penn., is a
gerontology major on the pre-med track. A member of the Student Programming Board, she is also a campus tour guide and participates in the Emerging Leaders Program and in Relay for Life. She enjoys dancing, soccer, travel and going to the beach.
Erin Hodgson '12 of Basking Ridge, N.J., is a
sociology and psychology double major. She is involved in the Student Programming Board and the Tiered Leadership Program. She also serves as a campus tour guide and plans to pursue a career in either clinical psychology or social work.
Angela Julian '11 of Seymour Conn., is a psychology major with a double minor in
Spanish and sociology. She is very active on campus, participating in the Collaborative Leaders Program, Catholic campus ministry and intramural soccer and volleyball. She also enjoys wakeboarding and scrapbooking.
Tim Kurowski '11 is a
finance major from Abington, Mass. After graduation, he plans to work in the field of investment banking or corporate finance for a retail company focusing on the fashion industry. Tim enjoys playing a range of sports, including baseball, basketball, soccer and golf, and he's passionate about music.
Matt Mills '11 of Sudbury, Mass., is an
athletic training major with a minor in psychology. A member of the Collaborative Leaders Program, he enjoys intramural volleyball, rock climbing and belongs to the Athletic Training Club. He plans to study exercise science or kinesiology in graduate school.
