The School of Business will host a one-day conference, “Wall Street: From the Classroom to the Workplace,” on Nov. 2 at the New York Helmsley Hotel in New York City. Experts from the investment community will discuss recent industry trends and offer insights into starting and building a career on Wall Street.

The keynote address will be given by Laszlo Birinyi, founder of Birinyi Associates, a regular contributor to Forbes and Bloomberg Personal Finance, a frequent guest on CNBC and a former panelist on “Wall Street Week” with Louis Rukeyser.

Following the keynote address, industry experts will lead a panel discussion on the latest developments in alternative investment allocation strategies. Afternoon breakout sessions will cover a variety of topics, including asset allocation, alternative investment classes, international market integration, starting and enhancing a Wall Street career, and women in finance.

Conference participants will include finance professionals, alumni working in finance or related industries and students and faculty from the University. The daylong conference will be held from 8 a.m. to 3:15 p.m. The fee for alumni is $100, which includes a continental breakfast and lunch.
