Quinnipiac offers a vibrant cultural community brimming with opportunities.
Inside the classroom, you’ll learn from distinguished faculty as you complete course work or even choose to minor in fine arts, music or theater studies.
But Quinnipiac’s cultural life is just as vibrant outside the classroom. The Student Programming Board regularly schedules guest performances by a variety of artists, and Quinnipiac supports an active theatrical, dance and music community through our various student-run arts organizations.
Speakers
A broad range of distinguished speakers visits the Quinnipiac campus each year. This Spring's speakers include attorney general Richard Blumenthal, human rights activist John Prendergast and television personality Lisa Ling. Read more about our campus speakers.
Music
Lovers of classical music can take in a performance by Quinnipiac’s artists-in-residence, Fidelio (an acclaimed chamber music ensemble) or attend a concert by the Hamden Symphony Orchestra. Through its affiliation with Quinnipiac, the HSO welcomes volunteer musicians and offers college credit for student members.
And of course, cultural institutions and experiences can be found off campus , throughout the region surrounding Quinnipiac.
Theater
Students tread the boards in two main-stage productions mounted by our theater program, as well as staged readings, workshops and student-directed productions staged by our student theater group, Theater Workshop.
