Quinnipiac Ice Hockey battling Harvard
Media Groups

You’ll get plenty of practical experience at Quinnipiac’s student-run publications and broadcasting stations, whether you’re on the air or working behind the scenes. These opportunities are just one reason our alumni in communications do so well.

Opportunities include:

Montage
Quinnipiac’s student-run literary magazine, Montage showcases students’ poetry, plays, short stories, photography and artwork. The magazine is printed in the spring and is available free of charge to the entire university community.

Q30 Television
Quinnipiac’s student-run closed-circuit television channel was established in 1993. With an office in the Carl Hansen Student Center and a station located in the mass communications building, Q30 provides a tremendous opportunity for communications and majors and nonmajors to experience how a television station works. Programming includes news, sports, music and more.

The Chronicle
Quinnipiac’s official student-run newspaper offers the opportunity to participate in reporting, copy editing, photography, layout and advertising. The Chronicle is published on Wednesdays, and the newspaper staff welcomes all interested participants.

WQAQ Radio—98.1 FM
Since 1969, this nonprofit educational radio station has provided the Quinnipiac community and beyond with around-the-clock music, news and public-service information. Students engage in production, writing, postproduction, promotions and on-air work.

The Summit
Quinnipiac’s award-winning yearbook is staffed and managed by students. Positions involving photography, creative layout design, advertising and editing are available.
