William C. Weldon '71, BA biology, is chairman of the board and CEO of Johnson & Johnson. Weldon also serves on QU's board of trustees.
Jeffrey Barasch '70, BA psychology, is the CEO of Onward Publishing Inc., which he co-founded with his wife, in 1994. Onward is a custom publisher serving primarily health care clients, such as UnitedHealthcare.
Patricia Farrell '84, BS accounting, is senior vice president at Aetna, and heads Aetna Dental, where she is one of the major corporate voices in the nation's complex health care system, as well as a key decision maker.
Alumni in Health Care
Patrick Charmel '81, BS health administration, is CEO of Griffin Health Services Corporation, the parent organization of Griffin Hospital in Derby, Conn. Also the CEO of Planetree, Inc., a not-for-profit dedicated to humanizing the hospital experience, Charmel is a member of the National Advisory Council for Healthcare Research and Quality.
Peggy Nygren '90, BA psychology, is one of 1,500 research scientists at Oregon Health and Science University, which provides care for more than 187,00 adults and children annually. She focuses on topics related to women and children and recently published a review on child abuse screening.
Alumni in Communications
Eric Yutzy '02, BA mass communications, is the weekend sports anchor at WTVF, a CBS affiliate in Nashville. He landed his first TV gig as a reporter for WKEF/WGRT in Dayton, Ohio, just months after graduating QU. After 10 months at WKEF, he beat out 450 applicants for a job at WMGM in Atlantic City.
Rachel Margolis '99, BA mass communications, is the director of communications of the Big East Conference, where she directs communications for the women's basketball championship, and serves as primary contact for women's basketball and men's soccer. She previously served as assistant director of athletic communication at the University of Connecticut.
