Major: International business
I chose to attend Quinnipiac because:
The first thing that attracted me to Quinnipiac was the campus. It was beautiful and up-to-date, and I felt comfortable. The proximity to my home in New Jersey sealed the deal. The campus was far enough away, but not too far.
My favorite Quinnipiac memory is:
Spending time with my fellow international business majors -- whether it be when I first entered the program or in the final days of completing our senior projects -- has to be my favorite memory. The IB major was somewhat small, and our group was close-knit. We always managed to have a great time.
Something I learned at Quinnipiac and never forgot is:
Besides learning the material in my major- and minor-specific classes, I took in the scenarios and current events we frequently discussed. It not only helped me better understand the material, but also helped me gain a better and fuller understanding of the topics. It's always better to look at the big picture, and that advice can be applied to many different things.
My favorite Quinnipiac professor was:
Mohammad Elahee (professor of international business) - He was my advisor and helped convince me to become an international business major, as well as a marketing minor a bit later on. He also served as the advisor for the International Business Society, which I was a board member of for 3 years. His classes were entertaining, interesting, and a great learning experience.
I remain connected to Quinnipiac by:
I enjoy attending sporting events, especially hockey games, and participating in the alumni activities, including interactive opportunities such as this. It's nice to be able to share your own thoughts and comments and read what peers have to say.
I give to Quinnipiac because:
I enjoyed my experience and I want to help others enjoy theirs.
I have this advice for current Quinnipiac students as they embark upon their journey:
Focus, but enjoy your years at Quinnipiac. Make the most of it and take advantage of what the school has to offer. Don't feel pressured to follow in the footsteps of your peers; do what makes you happy.
