As a student pursuing your BA in communications, you may concentrate in either media studies or media production.

As a media studies student, you may customize your communications coursework to suit your individual interests and career goals.

As a media production student, you will learn to master the technical aspects of digital media preproduction, production and postproduction, as well as develop key aesthetic and ethical standards.

Led by skilled faculty members who are leading scholars and practitioners, you’ll build the kind of sweeping understanding of the media, along with analytical skills and professional techniques, that will make you highly desirable to employers, as well as to graduate and professional schools.

You’ll work in the Ed McMahon Mass Communications Center, a state-of-the-art audio and video facility that includes a high definition television studio and the preproduction, production and postproduction software you’ll find in major studios and TV networks.
