There are many different options for students on the weekends. Student organizations run events throughout the year that are open to all students. Quinnipiac University After Dark, for example, is an organization that hosts events every Friday and Saturday from 10 p.m. until 1 a.m. The Q.U.A.D events are fun because you get to meet all types of people who enjoy trying different things on the weekends.

When the weather is nice, I love to hike Sleeping Giant Mountain, which is across from campus. For sport lovers, there is an athletic game to attend almost every weekend. Many students also take the shuttle into New Haven, which is only about 20 minutes away, where there are shops, restaurants and clubs.

My weekends are always filled with something to do! I am really involved in a few organizations and we are always filming a new movie or hosting events! Whether you get involved in the organizations at QU or you just want to attend the weekly movies and events that the students put on, there is always something to do. The weekends are also a true mix of entertainment, relaxation and homework.

Students have the opportunity to go to New Haven, stay on campus, go shopping in Hamden, or just relax with friends and watch a movie. I have never been sitting around on the weekends wondering what I was going to do! Just get involved or look for the events that the students put on and you will always be busy!

On the weekends I tend to either be studying or hanging out with my sorority sisters. There are also great programs put on by our Student Programming Board and the Quinnipiac University After Dark organization. They show movies that aren't yet out on DVD, bring hypnotists and a lot of other great programs for the students. The other clubs on campus also put on events like the Latin Culture Society and their Copacabana Night, where students can go and dance the night away.

On the weekends, I take time to relax and hang out with my friends. When it's sunny out, my roommates and I play soccer or Frisbee on the Quad. When it rains, we always look to the great programs that Quinnipiac hosts through one of the 70 clubs and organizations. However, my favorite weekend activity is attending the athletic events! Whether the game is up at our new sports facility on the York Hill campus, or down on the green fields of Mt. Carmel, there is always something going on and Bobcat memorabilia to be given out!
