Master of Business Administration

The School of Business offers a master of business administration (MBA) program for working adults. The MBA program provides individuals with a broad professional education and acquaints them with the theories, principles and strategies needed for successful careers in business.

Beyond acquiring the knowledge of course content and an understanding of business systems, students are taught to be innovative in their approach to solving problems and making decisions. Exposure to sound ethical standards and skill development in the areas of negotiation, cooperation and interpersonal relations are an integral part of the curriculum. Graduates are action-oriented and can effectively apply the competencies and skills they have acquired in the MBA program.

The MBA program is a total of 46 credits. This includes a 34-credit core and 12 credits of electives. Students can choose to take electives within one discipline for greater depth of knowledge in that area, or spread their electives across various disciplines for a broad-based view.

Electives are available in the following areas:

  • Accounting
  • Computer information systems
  • Finance
  • Health administration
  • International business
  • Management
  • Marketing

The School of Business is accredited by AACSB International, a voluntary national accreditation earned by only 30 percent of the business schools in America.

The MBA program is also offered in an on-campus format. Learn more
