In today's highly competitive world of work, human resource management is no longer just for human resource departments. Recent demographic and organizational changes in the workplace have required general managers to gain skill competencies in human resources. In addition, most employees are now being asked to make difficult choices regarding benefit plans, recruitment and selection decisions, performance appraisals of peers and team members, and enforcement of ethical policies.
The professional focus track in human resource leadership focuses on topics that are essential for today's professionals. Our students learn the leadership skills and industry best practices they need to become effective--and informed--leaders of their organizations.
