European Business Center at Quinnipiac

The purpose of the European Union Business Center (EUBC) is to assist the Connecticut business community in obtaining the knowledge and information they need to maximize their effectiveness and success when dealing with European Union countries.  The EUBC has four major components:  Conferences & Seminars; Informational Resources; Research; and Consulting.

During the year the EUBC will sponsor and/or co-sponsor  seminars or conferences that are open to the Connecticut business community and address issues such as the impact of the EU expansion on trade and investment to changes in regulatory.  For a schedule of coming events please go to the EUBC Seminar and Conference link.

The EUBC has also worked with the University’s Arnold Bernhard Library to expand the availability of journals, books, and on-line data sources that address issues related to the European Union and its business activities.  Connecticut business is encouraged to come to the campus and use these resources.

The EUBC and faculty of the School of Business’ International Business Department regularly conduct research that add to our knowledge and understanding of a wide range of issues related to EU-U.S. business activities.  Research projects include such activities as a survey of Connecticut business needs with respect to various international business and European Union activities; research into potential impacts of the European Union expansions on international business activities; trade patterns with the European Union; and investment-related  European Union country assessment.

The faculty of the International Business Department of Quinnipiac University has a broad range of corporate international business experiences and is available to consult with members of the Connecticut business community in a variety of areas.

For more information regarding any of the EUBC activities please contact Professor Farid Sadrieh, Program Director at Farid.sadrieh@quinnipiac.edu; or Professor Robert L. Engle, Program Assistant Director at Robert.engle@quinnipiac.edu.
