You can find QU’s alumni in businesses around the world and across a range of industries. Many received their training in the School of Business. Others have built their careers on QU’s foundational arts and sciences programs.
Here’s some of the business our alumni are doing:
William C. Weldon '71, BA biology, is chairman of the board and CEO of Johnson & Johnson. Weldon also serves on QU's board of trustees.
Chris Canetti '92, BA mass communications, is the chief operating officer of the Major League Soccer team, the Houston Dynamo. During his tenure, the team has won back-to-back championships, in 2006 and 2007. Canetti was recently honored as the 2008 Doug Hamilton Major League Soccer Executive of the Year, the top business award given out annually by the league.
Patricia Farrell '84, BS accounting, is senior vice president at Aetna, and heads Aetna Dental, where she is one of the major corporate voices in the nation's complex health care system, as well as a key decision maker.
Melissa Nappi '05, BS marketing, is a sales assistant at New York magazine. As an assistant to the executive director of print and integrated sales, she positions the ads within the magazine and assists ad sales representatives. Nappi says it's the perfect place to grow in her career.
Peter Sabesan '80, BS international business, is CEO of Hunter Realty Organization, a commercial real estate firm in New York City. The company, which he co-founded in 1997, has a client list that includes some of the city's--and the world's--largest companies and most prestigious names in fields such as finance, insurance, legal services, advertising and marketing.
