The minor in Judaic-Islamic studies offers insights into the ancient traditions of Judaism and Islam. It relates these insights to the historic, social and political experiences of two groups of people that bear rich and ancient cultural traditions.
A minor program in Judaic-Islamic Cultural studies is designed to broaden interdisciplinary nature and scope of the knowledge about cultural studies on our campus.
The role of culture and cultural identity in our evolving social and economic contexts is becoming increasingly crucial, especially in an era of globalization.
New foundations for cross-cultural interactions and understanding must be laid, as nations become interdependent on a much deeper economic and political horizon.
