Minor in Chemistry

The highly technical nature of our daily living has increased the need for a working knowledge of chemistry in biological sciences, medical sciences, law, business, government, academia and many more areas. Students majoring in programs other than chemistry can be recognized as having additional proficiency in chemistry by successfully completing this balanced program.

Candidates must apply to the chemistry department to enter this program and be enrolled concurrently in a major undergraduate program. The program consists of a minimum of 24 credits of chemistry distributed between 20 credits of required courses and four credits of elective courses consistent with the following specifications: The minimum grade required for each course is a C-.
