Apply as a Transfer Student

A transfer to Quinnipiac is an exciting move—and, thankfully, our simple steps in applying will make the paperwork relatively easy.

Transfer students are expected to present a grade point average of 2.5 (on a 4.0 scale) or better for previous college work; some programs in health sciences require higher GPAs.  We encourage you to contact us or to meet with an admissions counselor if you have questions regarding your academic goals.  More about our admissions counselors

All majors are open to transfers except the six-year physician’s assistant program. Physical therapy, athletic training, nursing and occupational therapy have limited space available and accept transfers only for the fall semester.

Questions? Contact the transfer admissions office.

Transfer Deadlines
For majors except those listed below with a specific deadline, we review applications once they become complete (rolling admissions). The admissions committee begins reviewing spring applications in October and fall applicants in early February.  Transfer applications for the fall semseter will be considered complete when we receive the grades from the previous fall. Please keep in mind that we recommend you apply earlier than the dates listed to be considered for the program of your choice.

Mid-November – Latest recommended date to file an application for spring semester (January)
Jan. 1 – the FAFSA application becomes available
March 1 - FAFSA application due
March 1 –Deadline for completed applications for transfer to physical therapy, athletic training, occupational therapy or nursing programs for fall semester.  Transfer applicants for these four programs are accepted on a space available basis only for the fall semester.

Yes, we have transfer scholarships!
We offer merit-based scholarships of up to $8,000 a year to selected incoming transfer students. Applicants who have completed two years of college and have a minimum GPA of 3.5 are eligible for consideration. The best part: no separate application is required.
