Each year, Quinnipiac University welcomes as many as 250 transfer students. They come from two- and four-year public and private colleges, and they quickly become part of Quinnipiac’s lively student community. More about being a transfer student...
To transfer to Quinnipiac, you should have earned credit in college level work after graduating from high school with at least a 2.5 grade-point average. Some programs require a higher GPA. Please see individual programs for their requirements.

Each of our Fall 2010 Open Houses, will include a special session for transfer students. Register for one of the following dates:
To apply as a transfer student:
1) File your application. You can apply online, or you can download a paper application (PDF)and send it directly to the admissions office. The application fee is $45.
2) Complete your personal statement. This one-page essay is to be included with your application. It's most helpful if you use that essay to tell us about your previous college experience and your reasons for wanting to transfer to Quinnipiac.
3) Request that your official high school transcript be sent to us. You must do this unless your college transcript shows that you have completed an associate’s or bachelor’s degree. Transcripts should be sent to the Office of Undergraduate Admissions.
4) Make arrangements to have your official transcripts from all colleges attended sent to us. You’ll need to do this whether or not grades were received, and even if you took only one course!
5) Have your official SAT I or ACT scores sent directly to us. This is only required if you have less than 30 credits of college level work. Quinnipiac’s SAT code is 3712; ACT code is 0582.
6) Include a letter of recommendation. We encourage you to provide one from your adviser or a teacher.
7) Explore financial aid. Transfer students may be eligible for Quinnipiac grants, scholarships and federal financial aid. For the fall semester, you should file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid and the CSS Profile soon after the first of the year. Spring transfers should file the FAFSA and CSS Profile for the current year when they apply for admission. More about the FAFSA…
NOTE to those seeking a second bachelor’s degree: You only need to submit the application form, application fee and college transcripts.
