Undergraduate Programs

The School of Education offers a five-year program for you to earn a bachelor’s degree in the major of your choice and a master of arts in teaching elementary education or secondary education. We offer exciting courses taught by experienced professors ready to share their knowledge with you.

The School of Education assigns you a program adviser who works with your adviser in your chosen major to monitor your progress during your junior and senior years. The relationship with the master of arts in teaching adviser continues during your graduate year of study.

Teacher Certification
The School of Education follows the teaching standards of the National Council for the Accreditation of Teacher Education. The division is accredited by the Connecticut Department of Education, which participates in the National Association of State Directors of Teacher Education and Certification Interstate Contract. For more information about state-by-state certification, check with your state’s department of education.
