Bud Finch

Bud Finch, a radio legend and “dean of Connecticut broadcasters,” hosts "Once Upon A Bandstand" each Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. – 12 p.m.

The show features rare recordings from the swing era, including those of Count Basie, Glenn Miller, Benny Goodman and Duke Ellington, as well as lesser-known groups led by Shep Fields, Larry Clinton, and Charlie Spivak.

The show offers a historical perspective of a unique musical era, with an intimate perspective offered by Finch, who knew and often played with a number of the featured musicians.
