LAWS 357 - Federal Courts
 
(3 cr.) This course considers jurisdictions of the federal courts and jurisdictions of the federal courts and conflicts between the federal and state judicial systems. Topics may include the nature of the judicial power; federal question, diversity, and removal jurisdiction; amount in controversy; application of federal or state law; abstention; injunctions of state proceedings; jurisdiction of the Supreme Court; jurisdiction of cases involving joinder of parties and claims and related devices, and procedural questions.
