Career Counseling

Students often need guidance in selecting a career path. The College of Arts and Sciences Career Development office offers students counseling and resources on how best to apply their education towards future employment, how to set goals and identify relevant industry areas, and how to strategically enter a competitive job market.  

Here is a sample of services, events, and counseling sessions offered to both undergraduate and graduate students in the College of Arts and Sciences:

  • A comprehensive database of jobs and internships (QU Career Connections)
  • Individual career advising and counseling sessions
  • Academic advising sessions to thoroughly examine and gauge a student's interest in a particular major or minor
  • Assistance with resume and cover letter writing
  • Interview preparation and practice
  • Career Development updates and targeted job emails by major
  • Internship and job search assistance throughout time at Quinnipiac
  • Networking and job search strategies (email, face-to-face, telephone and social media)
  • Academic credit for internship: CAR 295 - Career Practicum
  • Assistance with graduate school search and application process
