Professor of Business Analytics and Information Systems

Dr. Richard McCarthy is a Professor of Computer Information Systems. His teaching area is primarily within the Master of Science in Business Analytics, focusing on predictive analytics, data management, text mining, and the capstone project course.

Dr. McCarthy is the author of over 60 research journal articles and cases. He is the co-author of the textbook Applying Predictive Analytics: Finding Value in Data, and has contributed to 8 other textbooks. In 2019, he was named Computer Educator of the Year by the International Organization for Computer Information Systems.
