January was a busy month for the University's Writing Across the Curriculum program. On January 5 and 6, QUWAC hosted its 10th Biannual Writers Retreat at the Albert Schweitzer Institute.
Quinnipiac's Writing Across the Curriculum and the Research and Writing Institute hosted a faculty and professional staff writing retreat on May 19 and 20 at the Albert Schweitzer Institute.
More than 90 academic professionals from 15 U.S. states and two foreign countries attended "Critical Thinking and Writing Beyond Two Cultures: STEM, WAC/WID, and the Changing Academy," held Nov. 21 and 22, hosted by Quinnipiac University Writing Across the Curriculum (QUWAC) and the College of Arts and Sciences.
Quinnipiac's Writing Across the Curriculum hosted its 10th annual summer training workshop on Aug. 11-14. Faculty participants from departments and programs across the University collaborated on assignment design, outcomes assessment, and other critical thinking and writing tasks.

On May 29, Lauren Sardi, assistant professor of sociology, and Stacy Missari, assistant professor of sociology and internship coordinator, presented on the experiences and difficulties in assessing diversity learning outcomes in sociology.
